I finally got around to modifying this elegant light weight plastic chinrest to the Wiplstix. It is made by the good folks at Magicfluke who also make portable instruments including violins. Though it does not fit inside the tube like the inflatable chinrest, it can be removed easily for travelling and the chinrest is taken apart for consolidation. The manfacturer emphasizes that a washer be used to distribute the pressure and that it isnt too tight for fear of cracking the plastic. The joint where the screw attaches it to the fiddle allows for a good amount of adjustment for a comfortable, personal fit. I am delighted to add this as an option to the wiplstix to accommodate those who need a more classical chinrest.
